Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his initial trophy after the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from March of the previous year.

The player's defensive approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to question if his skill to perform at the top level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, backed up by an better serving game.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his first ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
The opponent rescued four early opportunities in a tight final set before the champion broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
