The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
